China is the top country in the world for technology companies, with $12.6 trillion of investments in the industry in 2020, according to research firm IBISWorld.
However, that figure is dwarfed by the country’s GDP, which is estimated at $20 trillion.
The country is the world’s second-largest economy and its top 10 technology companies are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
There are a total of 10,000 companies listed on New York’s stock exchanges, according the research firm.
It also ranked China as the world leader in technology for the fourth year in a row, behind only the United States.
China ranked No. 1 in the Fortune Global 500 list of technology companies in 2020.
IBM China said that in 2020 the company expects China to overtake the United Kingdom as the leading technology economy.
The government announced that it would boost the countrys investments in technology and innovation to at least $6 trillion.
