“A Song of Ice and Fire” is the longest-running series on television, having run for nearly two seasons.
“In the books, George has lived a life of kings, queens and castles, but in this series, he is living his true life, the one in which he and Daenerys meet,” HBO said in an announcement.
“And with the new film, the first book to premiere on HBO, we’re thrilled to give fans more of the epic, epic world they’ve been dreaming about for decades.
We’re excited to bring ‘Game’ to life on a new level and bring fans a whole new experience.
We can’t wait for you to see it!”
“Game will feature a stunning, cinematic production with a story and world so rich that you’ll feel like you’re in the books.”
“The show is built on the foundation of the Game books, but its story and themes are different.
We are very, very excited by the possibility of bringing Game to a new generation,” HBO’s head of scripted programming Michael Lombardo said in today’s statement.
HBO will debut the “Game”-themed films “The Game of the Roses” and a “Game-themed TV series,” which will debut on HBO in 2019.
The first “Game Series” of Thrones, “The Dance of Dragons,” will premiere in 2019 on HBO.
“I Can Feel the Fire” and other HBO series are expected to debut in 2020.
The sixth “Game”: The Winds of Winter, which will premiere on July 27, 2020, will be directed by “Star Wars” director J.J. Abrams and star Emilia Clarke.
