The pet owners of some of Mexico’s most popular wildlife hotspots are excited to be free to let their animals roam, and some are doing it in ways that are more humane than the pet shops of the world.
The Humane Society of the United States has released a video of a pet shop in Tamaulipas where two dogs roam free.
In one, a dog is given a treat and another one walks in.
In a second video, a young man and a woman pet a dog named Rufus, who was rescued from the streets and is a favorite of locals.
The video shows Rufuses feet and tail, which look like he’s on a leash.
In another video, two dogs walk past a small boy on a chain, who’s in the process of being carried by a dog.
The video, titled The End of the Line?, was made by Humane Society International, which says the video is part of a campaign by the Humane Society to get more pet owners to take their pets out of the home and into the wild.
