The new anime adaptation of Yoshikazu Yasuhisa ‘s novel Oregairu no Oregai wo Tsurugi ga Futoi!
(Oregairutto no Orewaru no Tsurugan ga Furu!)
(Anime no Movie: Orega no Tsubasa wo Gakkou!!) is now in theaters.
The film follows an aspiring high school girl named Yoko who joins a secret club of idol idols, and her fellow members also go on to join.
In a scene in the film, the girls play volleyball together, and Yoko is a fan favorite.
The series was originally set to premiere in the Summer of 2016, but was pulled from the schedule due to the recent death of Yasuhiseko Yamaguchi.
The film’s cast includes:Yuuki Yoshida as Yoko; Yuuki Takahashi as Kariya, a member of the club; Kana Mizuki as Kousaka, a girl with an idol past; Kaede Takahara as Yui, Yoko’s sister; and Yoshihiko Yoshikawa as Takanashi, the club’s manager.
The cast also includes:Hana Miyazaki as Aya, Yaku’s younger sister; Ai Hayami as Rina, a student of the group; and Haruka Yoshikawa, a voice actress.
The films version of Oregairs first novel also features the return of a character named Kiyoko, who plays a recurring role in the anime.
The novel’s heroine, Tatsuya Umezu, has returned as a character in the series.
The new Oregain will be the third film adaptation of Yasukihisa’s novel, following the original novel’s theatrical release in 2013 and the manga’s Oregawan novelization in 2015.
The Oregawaris manga will be serialized in Kadokawa Shoten ‘s Weekly Shonen Gangan magazine starting on September 22.
The Oregawa no Orena ( Oregaire no Oreshari ) novel series launched in 2003, and the Oregares original novel was published in English by Kodansha in 2009.
The second novel, Oregaris Gakki no Totsuka (Orena Gakka no Tatsu), was published by Shogakukan in 2016.
